For serious hikers, backpackers, and outdoor pros who rely on precise navigation, the Silva Ranger 2.0 is a top-tier mirror compass. The mirror lets you sight distant landmarks accurately while checking the bezel – no looking back and forth. It has a built-in clinometer to measure slope angles (great for assessing avalanche terrain or route steepness). The magnetic declination can be adjusted for your location, so your readings stay true. The baseplate includes multiple map scales (1:24k, 1:25k, 1:50k), a magnifying lens for fine map details, and luminous markings for low-light use. Comes with a slope card to calculate extra distance on inclines and a flexible distance lanyard. The DryFlex rubber grip gives a secure hold even with gloves. The needle is high-quality Swedish steel for fast, stable pointing. This isn't a basic starter compass; it's for when accuracy and durability really matter. Whether you're navigating backcountry trails, teaching orienteering, or planning expeditions, the Ranger 2.0 gives you confidence in your bearings. A trusted tool from a legendary brand.
